Privacy policy statement

According to § 13 part 1 of the German Telemediengesetz (TMG), the provider of a teleservice must inform his users about the type, scope and purpose of the personal data collection and use at the beginning of the usage process, in a generally understandable form. The content of the information must be available to the user at any time. Every company is obliged to inform the user about the personal data it collects or uses. The Term personal data is defined in the German Bundesdatenschutzgesetz and in the EU-GDPR. Thereafter, these are individual pieces of information about personal or material circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes for example your name, address, telephone number or date of birth. We take your personal data protection very seriously. The following explanation gives you an overview of how we guarantee this protection and which data is collected for which purpose. We reserve the right to modify these security and privacy practices to the extent required by technical developments. In this case, we will adjust our privacy policy accordingly. Therefore, please always consider our current privacy policy.

Access Data

Unless otherwise stated in the following sections, no personal data is collected, processed or used when accessing our websites. However, through the use of analysis and tracking tools, we know certain technical information based on the data transmitted by your browser (for example browser type/version, operating system used, accessed website pages including duration of access and previously accessed website). We only evaluate this information for statistical purposes. Data processing on this website

We act as a data processor and is responsible for the data protection, according to the law. We use personal data to conduct orders and deliveries, process payments, inform you about its products and offers, to improve its products, communication and internal processes, and to prevent the misuse of its website. Personal information refers to all information that is used to identify you as a person and which can be traced back to you – such as your name, e-mail address and telephone number. We only store data that is relevant and necessary for the purposes described above, in particular: name, address, delivery address, telephone and electronic contact options. We delete your data when it no longer serves its purpose.

We do not disclose your personal data to third parties unless this is necessary for conducting business transactions. The transmitted data has been reduced to a required minimum. If data is disclosed to third parties in such cases, they must guarantee to us to respect the data confidentiality in accordance with German data protection law in order to prevent data misuse. We will never disclose your personal data to commercial address dealers. There is no trade involving your personal data.

 

Legal basis for processing of personal data

In regard to obtaining the data subject’s consent for processing its personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as legal basis for the processing of personal data. In regard to processing of personal data necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. This also applies to processing operations required to carry out pre-contractual actions. As far as processing of personal data is required to fulfill a legal obligation that our company is subject to, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR serves as legal basis. In the event that vital interests of the data subject or another natural person require the processing of personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. d GDPR serves as legal basis. If processing is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of our company or a third party, and if the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not prevails over the aforementioned interests, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR serves as legal basis for processing.

 

Security of your personal information

We protect your personal data from unauthorized access, publication or use. We will ensure that the personal information you store on the server is in a controlled, secure environment that prevents unfair access and disclosure. Please note that personal information you publish in publicly accessible areas, such as guestbooks, etc., can be misused by other users.

Use of virtual showroom / Architonic AG

We present our products amongst other things using the virtual showroom of Architonic. In certain cases, your data will be transmitted to Architonic AG via the Virtual Showroom for processing enquiries. In turn, Architonic AG will forward this data to the relevant retailer if this is necessary for processing the request in question. Only the data which is necessary to process the purpose in question will be forwarded.

Architonic AG uses Google Analytics in its Virtual Showroom. This is a web analysis service of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses cookies, which are stored on your computer, to perform an analysis of how the website is used. The information determined by these cookies (time, location, pages accessed and anonymised IP address) are sent to Google and stored in the USA. Google uses the information to evaluate the use of the Virtual Showroom and generate reports for Architonic AG.

Duration of data storage

The controller only processes and stores personal data of the data subject for as long necessary to achieve the purpose of the storage. In addition, such storage may take place if provided for by the European or national legislator in EU regulations, laws or other regulations to which the controller is subject. Corresponding proof and retention obligations arise, for example, from the German Handelsgesetzbuch and Abgabenordnung. The storage periods are thereafter up to 10 years.

As soon as the storage purpose is removed or a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned regulations expires, the personal data is routinely blocked or deleted.
